BeLoved City Church is here to stay! God has called us to build a life-giving church in Nanaimo with an emphasis of relating to the next generation. No matter your age, you can be part of shaping the future church of Nanaimo by inviting and investing.

All around us we see people experiencing isolation, polarization, and disconnect. We vision a thriving church in our city, a place to call home, to be built up, and activated on mission. Good things are happening at BeLoved! Each week we are witnesses of the power of God moving in and through our church, which then spills out into our city, nation, and world.

Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle ruined cities. Isaiah 54:2-3 NLT

FOR THE ONE

Behind every Sunday, is a team who said "yes". The 99 you see on the back of our team t-shirts comes from Jesus' parable of the lost sheep where the Shepherd leaves the 99 to search for the one lost sheep. The team at BeLoved are part of the 99 ready to receive the one. God's Kingdom is accessible to all, even those who have strayed away. Jesus is for everyone!

MARKETPLACE

As part of shaping the future, we recognize the need for employment experience and education based programs. We seek to build spaces that bless the city. We curate places where the church and community can cross paths.

BeLoved City Church is about finding ways to bless our city to the third and fourth generation. We aim to develop marketplace spaces to serve where our community can gather and be inspired.

BeLoved City Church presently houses two social enterprises and in preparation to launch a cafe space by fall 2025.

BeLovedU not only provides faith-based counselling support, it's also home to our Developing Leaders Program. An immersive internship combining theological training, real-life ministry experience, hands-on church involvement, and behind-the-scenes service. Classroom learning is deeply connected to on-the-ground discipleship, forming leaders who live out their faith in every area of life.

Zoë Landscaping is part of our social mission to empower youth and young adults as they step into the workforce. Rooted in faith, this initiative provides a nurturing environment where they can grow in practical life skills, discover their God-given potential, and pursue the dreams placed on their hearts.

SERVE DAYS

Throughout the summer, we host neighborhood block parties and a city wide day of serving. Being part of a BeLoved City Group is how you can be part of making a difference in our city and have fun doing it together!

Engage National

We are passionate about our country being reached with the Good News of Jesus. As part of the ARC Canada family, we financially support in helping to equip church planters and leaders to launch and grow more life giving churches across Canada. Jesus commissioned his followers to not only share the Good News locally, but to the ends of the earth. We know our finance can go where our feet cannot. Through our international partners, we support the global church as it reaches our world in spreading the love and hope of Jesus. One of our focuses are in Malawi, Africa.
